About The Event
WalletHub named Houston as one of the top 10 most diverse cities in America. The International Powder Fest, coined as “The Most Diverse Color Festival in the World,” chose Houston as the perfect setting to reflect the event’s theme and mission. This annual celebration of diversity consists of 6 different parties, plus colored powder and glow paint, in 1 big glow color event all set to the beats of myriad genres of music from Caribbean to African, Hip Hop, Latino, EDM, and Desi. The aim is to unify all people while spreading peace, love, and happiness in the form of color. Event officials will hand out pounds and pounds of colored powder and glow paint for attendees to express themselves freely in bold, bright color. The no-holds-barred event begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 19th and wraps up at 4 a.m. The event kicks off with a dance experience for the first hour and features top international DJ’s from around the world, a variety of cultural foods, multiple attractions from event vendors, and HIV testing by Harris County Public Health. Last year’s event brought out hundreds of attendees and garnered favorable TV coverage from Fox 26 News and Channel 39. This year will be bigger, better, and brighter!
